The hidden cost centre

Every furniture retailer has a warehouse problem. Conventional clearance was never built to solve it.

Returned furniture, ex-display models, end-of-line ranges, cancelled orders, customer-rejected deliveries, supplier overstock — all of it depreciating, eating bay space, and recovering pennies on the pound through auction houses and trade-only liquidators.

Warehouse capacity loss

Every bay holding ex-display or returned stock is a bay not earning. Slow-moving clearance inventory ties up a meaningful slice of warehouse capacity — capacity that should be recovering value, not depreciating.

Brand-corroding own-site clearance

Permanent "clearance" sections on your main site train customers to wait for the discount. Quietly devalues your full-margin range.

Auction recovery is brutal

Trade auctions and liquidators recover a fraction of RRP after fees and removal — and your brand ends up on a discount marketplace you don't control.

The recovery delta

Materially better margin. Materially better brand control. Exclusive to you.

Clearance moves your inventory through the same UK buyer network that powers Exchange — but with full pricing, presentation, and distribution control in your hands. Trade-grade liquidation, retail-grade brand discipline.

How it works

Bulk-list, hands-off logistics, recover. We do the marketplace heavy lifting and the moving.

  • Bulk feed in. CSV, API, or scheduled inventory sync. SKU, condition, photo asset URL, RRP, floor price.
  • Warehouse locations configured once. Set per-warehouse collection windows, contact, access requirements. Multi-warehouse retailers manage all sites from one dashboard.
  • Branded listing presentation. Your photos, your copy, your trust signals. Listed under your brand on the marketplace.
  • End-to-end collection + delivery. Buyer pays → we collect from your warehouse → we deliver to the buyer. You never touch logistics. Or stage via reverse-logistics if you prefer batch consolidation.
  • Recovered net of fees. Daily reconciliation report, monthly settlement, full audit trail. No surprise deductions.

Brand-controlled clearance

Your inventory. Your brand. Your floor price.

Repurch is a brand-controlled clearance channel — your imagery, your copy, your floor prices, surfaced to a buyer pool we’ve spent two years building on Sofalistic. Use us alongside whichever other clearance routes you already run. We earn the volume you route to us by recovering more and protecting your brand better — not by locking you in.

  • Brand-controlled presentation. Your imagery, your copy, your trust badges. No off-brand substitute photos, no anonymised listings.
  • Floor price enforcement. You set the minimum recoverable price. We won't list below it.
  • Trust signal across the marketplace. Retail-branded clearance lifts AOV across Sofalistic — buyers trust branded stock more than P2P listings.
  • Non-exclusive by design. Standard enterprise contract term, but no exclusivity required. You decide what flows through us — we compete on recovery and presentation.

What we move

Six inventory streams. One channel.

Overstock

Supplier-overcommit, range refresh, seasonality mismatches — recovered through buyers actively looking for current-generation product.

Ex-display

Showroom-rotation stock with retail-grade photography already captured. Highest-margin clearance category — typically 60-70% of RRP recovered.

Customer returns

Change-of-mind, manufacturing defects (post-inspection), delivery-rejected. Re-graded, re-presented, sold to buyers who price-in the condition.

End-of-line

Range deletes, fabric retires, supplier exits. Cleared in bulk without devaluing your current range or front-of-site pricing.

Cancelled orders

Bespoke orders, customer cancellations post-build. Sold to buyers who want a one-off configuration without the lead time.

Damaged / graded

Minor damage, transit knocks, B-grade stock. Transparent condition labelling and dispute-clean presentation.

85%
Of sale value to you. 15% commission, VAT passes through.
100%
Brand-controlled presentation. Floor-price enforced. No grey-market leakage.
0
Exclusivity required. Use us alongside your other channels — we earn volume by performing, not by tying it down.
Common questions

Things retail commercial teams ask.

Do you require exclusivity?

No. A standard enterprise contract term applies, but exclusivity isn't part of it. You decide what volume flows through Repurch — we sit alongside auctions, liquidators, and any other clearance routes you run. We earn the volume you route to us by recovering more and protecting your brand better. If you ever want to consolidate volume with us for guaranteed-presentation or recovery-floor commitments, that's negotiable as a deeper commercial structure — not the starting point.

Who handles physical inventory movement?

Direct dispatch: pre-booked collection from your warehouse to the buyer once a unit sells. No hub staging needed for ex-display, end-of-line, returned, or single-unit recovery. Your team never touches the physical chain — we collect, we deliver.

Can we mix Exchange and Clearance presentation on the marketplace?

Yes — and they sit side-by-side in the same marketplace surface, not in separate streams. Your Clearance listings carry a Pro seller tag (retailer-verified, branded, retail-grade); P2P Exchange listings appear without it. Same search, same buyer pool, same checkout — the seller tag is the differentiator buyers see. Filtering by tag, brand, or condition is available for buyers who want to narrow.

How does pricing get set?

You set the floor price per SKU (the minimum recoverable price you'll accept). Repurch surfaces valuation insights based on current marketplace demand and comparable historical clears. You can pin a fixed price or use our pricing recommendations within your floor band. Fully dynamic auto-pricing within configurable rules is a Phase 2 capability.

How does the commercial model differ from Exchange?

Clearance is simpler: you’re the seller, so a flat commission applies on each sale (15% standard, VAT passes through) — you keep 85% of sale value. No monthly minimums, no volume floors, no exclusivity required. A standard enterprise contract term applies. Full details and category-specific modelling come back with your tailored partner proposal.
